Text Box: The return to school for 2009 year has been great. Our students came back full of energy with good stories about what they did during the break. We are looking forward to a great second half of the school year.
Please review the information concerning the dinner, social, entertainment with Murray Conque, and auction scheduled for Saturday, January 24th. This will be the only school auction this year. We encourage everyone to invite friends and come out to this evening event.
We will begin in-house registration for our present students on Monday, January 26 and for new families on Monday, Text Box: February 9th. We will send out registration packets on January 22.
For the safety of all children at St. Francis, it is important that everyone follow the school policy in picking up and dropping off of the students. If you do not care to drive through the line, it will be necessary that the person picking up or dropping off students get down and escort the students. The duty teacher doesn’t always know the persons in the vehicles that pick up and drop off students. Please follow these procedures for the safety of everyone.
Please be sure to check the handbook on the rules concerning outer-wear. Reminder: No camouflage jackets will be allowed on chilly days. Check the color of the jackets allowed.

Text Box: Our recent book fair was a huge success! We have an increase from last year’s profit with a total of $1877.41 thanks to the support of our SFS families and grandparents. A special thanks to all those grandparents who visited the fair. We had more than 150 visitors! Congratulations to Madelyn LeJeune who won the $20 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble and thanks to her Text Box: grandmother, Mrs. Phyllis LeJeune, for registering her name!
In addition to our profits we were also able to put over 75 new books into the classroom libraries due to donations from students with our One for Books campaign which brought in $116.00, as well as donations from parents, grandparents, and a special donation from our sponsor for many years – Miller T Text Box: Roofing of Iota.
Thanks to all the many moms, grandmothers, and teachers who helped with the fair. Special thanks go to Ms. Randi Sattler for providing the delicious goodies for Grandparents’ Day.
We look forward to seeing you all again at our Spring Book Fair coming in March!
